At Leet Factory, we believe your privacy is a fundamental right. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
The short version: We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service. We never sell your data. We never share it with third parties for advertising.
What We Collect
Account Information
- Authentication ID — A unique identifier from Google or Apple Sign-In. Your email address is retained by the Firebase Authentication service as part of your sign-in record, but is not stored in our app database or accessed by our application.
- Display Name — The name you choose to show to your friends.
- Account Creation Date — When you created your account.
Mood Data
- Mood Entries — Your mood dimensions, feels, and needs.
- Timestamps — When you updated your mood.
- Sharing Preferences — Which groups can see which data.
Social Data
- Friend Connections — Who you're connected with.
- Group Memberships — Which groups you've created or joined.
Technical Data
- Device Type — iOS or Android, for app compatibility.
- App Version — To provide appropriate support.
- Crash Reports — Anonymous error reports to improve stability.
What We Don't Collect
- Your email address in our app database (though Firebase Auth retains it from your sign-in provider)
- Your phone number
- Your location
- Your contacts
- Your photos or files
- Any data from other apps
How We Use Your Data
- Provide the Service — Show your mood to friends you've chosen.
- Improve the App — Fix bugs, improve performance, add features.
- Communicate with You — Respond to support requests.
How We Share Your Data
With Your Friends: We share your mood data only with friends and groups you explicitly choose. You control this completely.
With Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication and data storage. They process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations.
We Never:
- Sell your data to anyone
- Share your data with advertisers
- Use your data for targeted advertising
- Share your data with data brokers
Data Retention
Mood Data: Resets daily. Historical mood data is not retained beyond what's needed to show your current state to friends.
Account Data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted upon account deletion.
Your Rights
- Access — Request a copy of your data.
- Correction — Update your display name and preferences anytime in the app.
- Deletion — Delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Account.
- Portability — Export your data from Settings → Account.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encrypted data storage
- Secure authentication via Google/Apple
- Regular security reviews
Children's Privacy
Lowkey Mood is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us at privacy@lowkeymood.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or on this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
